Vineyard Review: Autumn Creek

September is North Carolina Wineries Month. With over 100 wineries across the state, there is no reason for you not to experience North Carolina wine country. Whether you enjoy wine tasting or not, the options to visit a vineyard also include picnics, live music and picking your own grapes.

Today, I am writing about my visit to Autumn Creek Vineyards. Autumn Creek vineyards located in Mayodan, North Carolina is a hidden gem just a few miles north form Greensboro. This century-old farm also offers cabins for rent to plan your perfect, secluded and romantic getaway.  If haven't visited yet, you should check it out!
With a list variety that appeals to wide range of tastes, you are guaranteed to find wine you will enjoy
Autumn Creek vineyards is also a picturesque venue to host events
You can hang out in the porch or sit in the brick patio
The tasting room is cozy and spacious

Rustic elements inside and outside the tasting room
Nothing but open views of the area
Right at the center of the vineyards you will find this gazebo with the pond behind it
Walking around these feels like a dream
The roads are so quiet, that you can even snap a pic like this without being ran over
The signs along the way make it easy to find Autumn Creek Vineyards
The tastings offered a variety of 5 white, 5 red and 3 sweet wines. You have the option to taste all 13 for $ 13, 10 for $ 10 or 6 for $7 with a complimentary glass with each tasting. My favorite ones were the Viognier, Sundown Round, and the Dan River Red. The Dan River Red is made from native North Carolina Muscadine Nobel grapes, which makes it a must try wine. It's served chilled and has amazing strawberry aromas with a fruity finish.
Visiting Autumn Creek Vineyards was absolutely fun and relaxing. We had  a great experience and we most likely will be back!
