Better Together: Earthy Modern

The minute I saw this table by Modus Furniture, I started to put together a dining room. I could visualize this rustic, modern table with the hand-knotted wool rug and the Protege chair reserved for the host/hostess at the end of the table.


I love how all the pieces work together. Sometimes modern styles tend to be "cold" and don't feel "homey". But is this case,  the blend incorporates all these textured neutral pieces that results in a super inviting space.The rug and the chevron inserts on the table add the perfect amount of texture to get along with the industrial vibe provided by the 16 light pendant. There's nothing traditional about this mood board.
The casual and modern feel is also provided by the variety in the seating with the bench and the rest of the chairs. ( Say no to matchy-matchy!) The  golden mirror is also there to join the rustic modern yet warm, earthy party.
